Merchandising - Promotion, Marketing & Defining Place

Merchandising is one way to communicate civic place and pride, as well as marketing and promoting events to residents and visitors. Below are just a few examples of merchandising that can be designed to reflect the unique character of a community. Merchandise can include t-shirts, hoodies, totes, mugs, calendars, agenda books, note & greeting cards, bumper stickers, decals, posters and other items. Local business owners may wish to buy items in quantity and sell them. Similarly, the Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, event organizers, tourism organizations and committees can use these items to fundraise.
